ACRYLIC PAINTING CLASSES (ADULTS)

Ten years ago, Linda Calvert Jacobson began teaching acrylic classes for children in the backroom at New Braunfels Art League. Soon she was renting a studio upstairs where she offered  several classes a week for both adults and children. She continues to teach at Casa de Linda Art Center, specializing in beginners but opening her classes to all levels.

BASIC ACRYLIC PAINTING

Instructor: Linda C. Jacobson

Acrylics were invented in the 1950s and have only improved over the years. Today’s artists find a wide range of uses for this versatile medium, but it’s always best to start with the basics, and that’s where Linda’s students begin. Focusing on landscapes at first, you’ll learn how to handle the medium, which brushes and tools to use for what effect, and tips for making the most of your budget. Along the way, you’ll also learn about principles of painting and design, from proportions and perspective to shading. These are on-going classes and you may join at any time and continue as long as you’d like to. Limited of 6-8 students per class.

NOTE: LINDA'S ON-GOING ACRYLIC CLASSES ARE SUSPENDED FOR THE SUMMER AND WILL RESTART IN EARLY SEPTEMBER. PLEASE CHECK BACK OR CONTACT US IN AUGUST. THANK YOU!
