DESCRIPTION: The basic painting classes are offered on-going, year around. Using water-soluble acrylic paint, students learn how to mix colors, create special effects, use brushes and other tools and better understand principles of composition. All students start with landscapes.

SPRING 2010 BASIC PAINTING SCHEDULE (Jan. 13-May 29): ADULTS ONLY: Wednesdays 1-3 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m.; Thursdays 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and Fridays 10 a.m.-12 noon. AGES 10 AND UP: Thursdays 3: 30-5:30 p.m. and Saturdays 1-3 p.m.

FEE: $70 for 4 classes. Spring 2010 special: Pay for 8 classes and get $10 off ($130 total) New students must also purchase a Starter Kit for $85 plus tax. This includes all paints, brushes and your first canvas.

DESCRIPTION: New for Spring 2010! Children ages 6-9 can explore their creativity and learn exciting art techniques in these 4-week courses held on Saturday mornings 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Classes are limited to 8 students per course.
